OMG. They have these bloody things out here at 7,000 feet!!!!

Hiking Scotchmans Peak. Unbelievable. The Mountain Goats were spectacular!

The drive around Lake Pend Oreille

Snedder enjoying the last of the shortbread

Part way up

Hitchhiker on Rico

Rico enjoying the vista!

Looking down on Lake P.O.

Half way there

Rico 'n' Sned

Awesome rocks

Looks like a dinosaur-elephant-polarbear-push-me-pull-you!

A very fit dog and his pro-triathlete owner

Thanks Barely Working Farm!

Ow.  My calf hurts!

The fashionable and understated T-shirt..... We waited until all of Rico's future business associates departed the summit before we bared this one

On the very edge

Slippery footing.....

Business meeting at the top of Scotchman Peak

In a bizarre coincidence, at just over 7,000 feet, Rico meets Eric, (Forest Service, newly moved to Sandpoint from Manchester VT), Phil (Friends of Scotch Peak Wilderness) and Brad (Idaho Preservation League).  Phil was so happy to meet Rico.  He recognized him from his photo in the local paper.  THis saved him a phone call to Rico, to set up a meeting.  They chatted away while Snedder & I ate the last of the Barely Working Farm Shortbread.  I acquired a volunteer position at Friends of Scotch Peak Wilderness.  A good day!

Creepy dinner guest. He will soon be evicted.... Express mailed back to Scotch Farm....

The creepster and his creepster-ier reflection

And multiple creepster-y reflections.....

Moose poop. In our front yard. Beneath the apple trees....

First day in Sandpoint. Biding our time while Eric worked....

We paid $2 for this.... But the ice water was free and the coffee 5 cents...
